September 1, 2006  Mamiya O/P completed the transfer of its Optical Equipment Division, manufacturer of leading medium-format cameras and lenses to Cosmo Digital Imaging Company, Ltd., forming a new company called Mamiya Digital Imaging.

Mamiya Digital Imaging has acquired all Mamiya assets, inventory, property, trademarks and patents. They are expected to retain a substantial number of present Mamiya staff and facilities, and will continute service of Mamiya cameras and lenses in the existing Mamiya distribution network.

The Rumors Are True!
Mamiya Transfers Camera and Optical Division
Mamiya O/P has announced that its Optical Equipment Division, manufacturer of leading medium-format cameras and lenses will be transferred to a new company, Cosmo Digital Imaging Company, Ltd. on September 1, 2006. From the information available, however, it also looks as though the Mamiya name will continue!

Breaking News!
Mamiya may be getting ready to announce it is getting out of the camera and lens business! Rumor has it that Mamiya may be transferring all the assets of its camera and lens business to a Japanese IT company!
